CHemical weathering Definition
Chemical Weathering is when rocks get broken down by chemical reactions
Dissolution is when a solid substance dissolves into a solvent. Some cause of dissolution can be air pollution, which would make the air more acidic. Another cause could be hydrolysis which is the reaction with water, which forms new minerals. Rain it self is acidic since carbon dioxide and water can mix to make carbonic acid, which can dissolve calcite, and causes these statues to change shape

Rusting or Oxidation is when the solid reacts with the air to create new minerals, such as rust. Rust happens in iron rich materials and produces a red-brown colored mineral which we call rust.
